What Is A Cool Roof?

Traditional roof materials stay "hot", absorbing 70% or more of the solar energy. Cool roofs are white and absorb less than 35% of this solar energy, staying 50-60 degrees cooler during “hot” summer conditions compared to black darker roofs.
