Single Ply Roofing is a thick and durable single layer of roofing material that is securely fastened to your roof. Many home owners and businesses are turning to Singly Ply Roofing because of its top quality manufacturing and long lasting durability. This flexible material poses many clear advantages:
-
Extremely durable! Single Ply Roofing material is highly resistant to tears and punctures, with great dimensional stability and high tensile strength.
-
Outstanding resistance to UV and ozone exposure; able to tolerate extreme weather conditions, and remain in t act through exposure to chemicals and fire.
-
Easy to install; no heavy equipment needed.
-
The membrane may even be applied during inclement weather periods.
-
Reduces energy costs with white TPO's & PVC's.
-
The thickness of the membrane measures only 45 mils to 80 mils.
We install three types of single ply membranes:
-
EPDM (Ethyl Propylene Diene Monomer) is membrane consisting of elastomeric rubber materials. We deal with both re-inforced and non-inforced membranes. They are glued or taped at the seams and flashings.
-
PVC (Thermoplastic Membrane) is a lightweight, energy efficient, fiber-reinforced roof membrane. Seams and flashings are welded with heat.
-
TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin Membrane) is a high quality, reinforced membrane noted for its superior tear strength and stability. Seams and flashings are also heat welded.
Application of Single Ply Roof Membrane:
-
Fully Adhered System - an adhesive that secures the membrane to the substrate.
-
Mechanically Attached System - special fastening plates that are placed in various patterns based on the height of the building, geographic locale, deck type, and building usage.
-
Ballasted System - loos gravel or interlocking pavers help keep the membrane in place.
